The Carnegie Science Center Science Camp Scholarship offers one week of paid tuition at an approved Carnegie Science Center Science Camp in Pittsburgh, PA. There are a limited number of scholarships available. PLEASE NOTE that camp sessions fill up quickly; if the session chosen by the recipient is not be available, the scholarship may be applied to a different session.
Eligibility: All applicants must live in and attend school or home school in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. (Pittsburgh, PA). Applicants must be between the ages of 7-17.
All Camp Scholarship Applicants must be willing to provide their own transportation to and from Camp, furnish any personal supplies required and abide by all rules set forth by the Camp entity.
Scholarships are awarded by the Scholarship Committee based on the information received in the applications. The Committee will consider the respective ability, goals and ambitions of each applicant. A written recommendation from your teacher/instructor is not required, but will assist the Committee in awarding scholarships.
Applicants should be aware that Get Out and Play has no obligation to award money to any individual but does so voluntarily in an effort to promote involvement in sports, music and science. The number of scholarships available is limited.
Applications are accepted beginning 1 January until the close date (for 2016, the close date is 1 May).
